First!
This post is half being written as a technicality (so the posts section has something to show in it), and half because I need to write some words to help me work out what it is I want to say. I've been writing, deleting, re-writing, scrapping and starting again the home page of this site for a few days now, trying to settle on the framing and levels of professional-ism-ness. The home page feels like it has to be a bit more 'official'; here, I feel like I can write something like professional-ism-ness in a sentence and pretend it's entirely normal. I do a lot of complicated stuff, but that doesn't mean it has to be complicated to read about - I like to think that a lighter read with a less serious tone would be more appealing to a wider audience. We have kilobytes, megabytes, many others but half a byte is a nibble, and that's the level of serious-ness I would choose to aspire to.
So before I get too distracted by nibbles, what's this all about?
I've been fascinated by technology since single-digit age, I'm now well into double figures with double figures of experience, and have picked up a fair bit along the way. I like making things - tools to interpret facts, turn data into information, do interesting things, and here on my corner of the internet, I can write a little bit about some of them. I've only written up a handful at time of posting, but more will come as and when they are ready - I've not decided what's next yet. Until then, here is a scorpion holding a snail with a spider riding on its head.
